Air Mauritius

Air Mauritius operates out of 40, Rishi Apartments in Sector-9, Rohini. It’s an apartment complex, so it doesn't feel like a standard office building at all. You walk through the main gate, pass the security, and head up to number 40. Inside, we’ve turned the rooms into workspaces. It’s actually quite nice because it’s quieter than being right on a main road. We’ve got our computers set up where a dining table might usually be, and the kitchen is mostly used for making endless rounds of coffee and tea. Rohini Sector-9 is a decent area, though the parking inside the apartment complex can be a bit of a struggle if everyone is home. We handle a lot of the back-end details for the airline from here. It’s a lot of data entry, phone calls, and coordinating with the airport. Sometimes we forget we’re in an apartment until someone’s neighbor starts moving furniture upstairs. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights outside. It’s just a functional, low-key spot where we can focus on the tasks at hand without too many distractions. Most of us have been working here for a while, so we have our own little routines. It’s not the most traditional way to run an airline office, but it works for us and keeps the overheads down.
