Air India

Air India has this space at 229 Karishma Apartments in Indraprastha Extension. It’s an apartment complex, so it doesn't feel like a cold office building. We have neighbors who are living their lives right next door. You might hear someone’s TV or the sound of cooking while we are working. We use the rooms as offices, so there are files in the bedrooms and desks in the living area. It’s a bit cramped, but we make it work. Indraprastha Extension is a busy residential area with lots of traffic. We don't have a big sign outside. You just have to know which apartment it is. We handle a lot of the staff details and administrative work from here. It’s a lot of sitting and typing. The balcony is our favorite spot for a quick break to look at the street below. We aren't doing any big advertising. We are just the people in the background. Most of us have been with the airline for decades. We talk about the old days and how things used to be. It’s not a polished corporate headquarters. It’s a functional space in a block of flats. We keep things moving, even if the filing system is a little old-fashioned. We don't need a mission statement to know what to do. We just show up at Karishma Apartments and do our bit for Air India every day without making any fuss.
