Air India

We are located at A15/238 in the I A Colony, which most people know as the Indian Airlines Colony. It’s in the Vasany Vihar part of New Delhi 110057. The address is a bit tucked away, so it can be hard to find if you aren't familiar with the block system here. We are an Air India office, but it's very low-key. The building is one of those typical government-style blocks with stairs that have seen better days. Inside, we have our desks set up near the windows for the light. We handle a lot of the clerical work and coordination from this room. It’s often quiet, except for when the phone starts ringing off the hook. There is a small park just outside the building where we sit sometimes during the break. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but they are covered with calendars and duty rosters anyway. We get our mail delivered to the ground floor and someone has to go down and fetch it. Dealing with the paperwork takes up most of our time. It’s not the flashy side of aviation, just the day-to-day grind in a residential colony. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the shortcuts through the colony paths. It’s a simple setup, nothing fancy, just a place where the staff gets the job done and looks forward to the end of the shift most days.
