Air India

Our office is on the 3rd floor of a building in Old Rajinder Nagar, specifically at 33/19. It’s right in the middle of a very crowded part of New Delhi, where there are lots of students and small shops. Since we work for Air India here, things can get pretty hectic. We have a lot of people coming in with questions about their tickets or baggage issues. The climb up to the third floor keeps us active, though the stairs can be a bit narrow. We don't have the fancy decor you might see at the airport. It's mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of printed forms. We spend our day talking to the main office and trying to fix mistakes in the system. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out and get back to work. It’s a very functional space. We don't use big words or fancy talk with the people who come in. We just try to tell them the truth about their flights or whatever problem they’re having. The tea stall downstairs is where we go when we need a break from the phones. It’s a loud, busy environment, but we’ve gotten used to the noise of the street. It’s just a group of us trying to keep the airline stuff moving for the local area. We don't make things complicated; we just look at the screen and tell you what we see.
