Air India

We are based out of the Delhi 110037 area, which puts us right near all the airport action. Air India has been a part of the landscape here for such a long time that everyone knows the name, but our day-to-day work is actually quite grounded. The office is busy with people coming in and out at all hours because the planes do not stop flying just because it is nighttime. You hear the engines in the distance almost constantly. Inside, it is a lot of paperwork and people trying to make sure flight schedules are kept. It is not always perfect, and we have our fair share of hectic mornings when things do not go exactly as planned. We have desks piled with logs and staff trying to sort out various passenger and flight details. The tea breaks are when we actually get to catch up with each other and complain about the traffic. It is a big operation, but in this specific office, it feels more like a small community of people. We have seen the uniforms change and the logos get updated over the years, but the core work is still the same old thing. It is about getting people where they need to go safely. The 110037 area is convenient for us since we need to be close to the runways. It is not a quiet place to work, but you get used to the rhythm of the planes.
