Air India Limited

Air India Limited has this office at E 56, Street No 16, over in Sadh Nagar. It’s deep in Palam Colony, which is a very busy part of New Delhi 110045. The street is usually full of bikes and people walking to the local shops. Our building is just one of many on the block. Inside, it’s mostly just us at our desks. There’s a lot of paper moving around and people checking schedules. It’s not the big headquarters you might see on the news, it’s more of a local branch where the real daily work happens. We have some old chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. The walls are a plain color and we have a few clocks on the wall for different times. We spend a lot of time talking about flights and trying to help people with their questions. It can get a bit loud when everyone is on the phone at once. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front windows and makes it a bit warm. We just turn the fans up. It’s a straightforward place to work. We’ve been in Sadh Nagar for quite some time now, so we feel like part of the neighborhood. We see the same people passing by every morning when we open up. It’s just our daily life here. We keep our heads down and try to get the work done before it’s time to head home.
