Air Hostess Academy(Aha)

Our building is at 268 Keshav Nagar, right off Sitapur Road here in Lucknow. People call us AHA for short, which is just the initials for Air Hostess Academy. It’s a two-story place where we spend our days teaching. It’s not in the center of the city, so it’s a bit quieter than the main markets. We have a few rooms set up with chairs and some desks. There’s a whiteboard in the main room that’s seen better days, it has some old stains on the corners. Students come here from all over Uttar Pradesh. They want to learn how things work on planes. We show them how to handle things and how to talk to people properly. It's a lot of practice. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just working on how to stand or walk. My sister helps with the paperwork in the small office near the entrance. The fan in that room clicks when it’s on the high setting, but we’ve gotten used to it. Lucknow gets hot in the summer, so we keep the windows open when there’s a breeze. Sitapur Road is always busy with trucks and buses, so there’s a constant hum of traffic outside. We’ve been at this location for a while now. It’s just us doing our job, trying to help the young folks get ready for their interviews. It’s a straightforward setup. We open early and stay until the last class is done.
