Air Deccan

Shahdara is a busy place and our spot on Karkari Road in Vishwas Nagar is right in the middle of all that noise. We’ve been at this 551/3 address for a while now. Most days it’s just about handling the paperwork and making sure the phones get answered. It gets pretty dusty out here in Delhi, especially in the summer when the heat hits the pavement. People walk in looking for help with their flights or just asking directions because the numbering on this road is a bit confusing sometimes. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. There’s a tea stall just down the way where we usually get our morning fix. It’s a practical setup. We spend a lot of time on computers dealing with schedules and stuff. The neighborhood is mostly small shops and families living upstairs. It feels like a real community here even if the traffic is a nightmare during rush hour. You learn to time your lunch breaks so you don't get stuck in the crowd. Sometimes the internet acts up or the electricity goes for a bit, but that’s just how things are around here. We try to keep the chairs comfortable for anyone waiting. It's nothing special, just a group of us working out of this Delhi-110032 postcode. We've seen the area change over the years, more buildings going up and fewer open spaces, but we stay put in our little corner for Air Deccan.
