Air Deccan

Air Deccan is located at 877 M.E.S Colony, over in Old Pinto Park. This is part of the Delhi Cantt area, so there’s a lot of military housing and open spaces around us. It’s a lot quieter than the center of the city, which is nice. Our office isn’t some high-rise building; it’s a more modest setup in a colony that’s been around for a long time. We are pretty close to Palam, which makes sense given that we are in the airline business. You can see the airport perimeter from not too far away. Inside, it’s just a normal workplace. We have maps on the walls and a lot of schedules pinned up. There are a few of us who have been here since the early days when things were first starting up in the low-cost flying world. We spend our time managing the ground operations and making sure the paperwork for the flights is all in order. It’s not a glamorous job, despite what people think about aviation. It’s a lot of checking numbers and coordinating with the crew. The building itself is an older style, typical for the M.E.S area, and we just keep it running. We don’t have any big corporate signs out front, just the name so people can find us. It’s a practical, no-nonsense place to work, and we like the steady pace of the colony.
