Air Deccan Aviation Ltd has its spot at B-102, Street No.-6 in Raj Nagar-I. This is part of Palam Colony, which is very close to the airport in New Delhi, so you can always hear the planes taking off and landing nearby. It’s a very specific kind of noise that we’ve all just gotten used to over the years. The office is in a regular street, not some big commercial zone, so it feels quite local. We handle a lot of the aviation side of things here, which means there is always a lot of technical paperwork and scheduling going on. It’s not a glamorous job, despite what people think about airlines. Mostly it is just us sitting at desks, checking numbers and making sure the logs are updated. The street outside is usually full of activity, with neighbors going about their business and delivery bikes zooming past. Our office inside is a bit tight, but we make it work with what we have. We’ve got our computers and our stacks of documents, and that’s about it. There isn’t any corporate art on the walls or anything like that. We just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a practical environment where everyone knows what they need to do. We’ve been here in Palam Colony for quite a while, and it feels like the right place for an aviation company to be located while we handle the daily grind.
