Anyone looking for Aha will find us inside the New Subzi Mandi over in Azadpur. We are based right at the Main Entrance Gate 1, specifically inside the APMC Control Room area. You’ll probably have to ask for Ayush Bhatt when you get here. Working in the middle of one of the biggest vegetable markets in Delhi is definitely an experience. It is always loud, there are trucks everywhere, and the smell of fresh produce is in the air from early morning. Our space is very basic, just a place to coordinate things and keep the operations going. We don’t have fancy carpets or air-conditioned lobbies. It’s a working environment through and through. We deal with the daily flow of the market and whatever tasks come our way at the control room. It can be pretty hectic, especially during the peak hours when the goods are being moved in and out. We don’t do much in the way of promotion; we just stay busy with the work at hand. Most of the people we deal with are vendors, drivers, and other folks who work in the Mandi. We keep things simple and talk to everyone in a direct way because there’s no time for anything else. Being based in Delhi 33 at the heart of Azadpur means we are right where the action is. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s real work and we stay on top of the madness to make sure things run as smoothly as possible for everyone involved.
