We've been at 978 Mukherjee Nagar for a while now. Most people know us because we're up on the second floor, or "Second Flower" as the old sign sometimes looks like. It’s a busy spot in Delhi, always people moving around the stairs. Our office isn't anything fancy. Just a bunch of desks, some old files, and a tea kettle that gets a lot of use every morning. We show up early, usually before the traffic gets really bad on the main road. The sun hits the windows quite hard in the afternoon, so we keep the blinds down most of the day. It’s mostly just us working through paperwork and talking on the phones. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but that’s just how things are here. We know the neighbors pretty well, especially the guys downstairs. We don’t really have a big fancy lobby or anything. You just walk up the steps and we’re right there. There is a lot of noise from the street outside, but you get used to it after the first week. We try to keep things organized, even if the filing cabinets are getting a bit full. It’s a practical place for us to get our daily tasks done. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s easy for everyone to find. Nothing much changes around here, and that’s fine by us. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing until it’s time to lock up and head home.
