Affordable Holidays

Our little shop, Affordable Holidays, is located at 12/34 in Tilak Nagar. If you walk down the main market road, you’ll find us easily enough. It is a small space, mostly filled with brochures and old calendars from places we’ve sent people to. We started this because we liked traveling ourselves, and now we spend all day helping others do it. The office is usually a bit messy with papers and notebooks everywhere. Tilak Nagar is a busy place, so there’s always noise from the rickshaws and the crowds outside. It can be quite a squeeze when a whole family comes in to talk about a trip. We don't have fancy leather chairs or a coffee machine. We usually just offer people a glass of water from the cooler. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a hotel is bad, we tell people. If a flight is too expensive, we look for something else. We aren't a big chain, just a local business trying to help neighbors see the world without spending every penny they have. Sometimes we get postcards from customers who are away, and we stick them on the wall. It makes the place look a bit more cheerful. We’ve been at this for years and most of our customers are regulars who live just a few blocks away. We stay open a bit late on Saturdays because that is when most people have time to come by and discuss their holiday plans.
