Affordable Holidays

Our office for Affordable Holidays is tucked away in Pocket A-3 of Mayur Vihar Phase 3. If you are familiar with this part of Delhi, you know it can be a bit of a maze sometimes, but 35-H is where we stay. We spend our days looking at flights and train schedules on our computers. People come in wanting to go somewhere for a few days, and we try to find a way to make that happen without it costing too much. It is a lot of searching through different websites and calling up hotels to see what they have available. The phones ring pretty often here. We are just a small group of people working in a regular Delhi neighborhood. There is no big sign or flashy lights, just our desks and chairs and a lot of paper maps and brochures lying around. Most of the people who come to us are neighbors or friends of people we helped before. Planning a holiday takes more time than you would think because of all the small details you have to get right. We check dates, look at prices, and send out emails. It is mostly about getting the logistics figured out so people can actually go on their trips. We have been at this location for a good while and we like being part of the Mayur Vihar community. It is a lot of screen time, but it is okay. We just focus on getting the tickets booked and the itineraries printed out for everyone.
