Aeroflot Cargo, Igi Airport

Our office is over in Najafgarh, specifically at 1443 Saini Mohalla. Parveen Kumar is usually around here making sure the cargo stuff for Aeroflot is moving along like it should. Being near IGI Airport means there is always something happening, even if we are tucked away in the mohalla. We handle a lot of papers and logistics for things going in and out of the airport. It’s mostly just moving boxes and checking lists. The streets around here are narrow, so getting big trucks in can be a real headache sometimes. We have a couple of old chairs in the waiting area that have seen better days. The light in the back office flickers a bit, but we haven't got around to fixing it yet. We start early because the airport never really sleeps. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls to different departments. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, so we’re always dusting off the computers. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big lobby. We just focus on the work and getting the shipments cleared. Most of the neighbors know us, and we see the same people every day. It’s steady work, and we just keep at it until the sun goes down and then some. We also have to watch the gate because it sticks in the rainy season. It’s a simple life for us here.
