Aegis

Our workplace, Aegis, is situated at Ho-856 near the Syndicate Bank in Bijwasan. It is a bit out of the way if you are used to the main parts of New Delhi, but we like it here. The area has its own rhythm. Being so close to the bank, we see a lot of people coming and going throughout the morning. The building we are in is quite old and has that specific smell of dust and old paper that you find in many Delhi offices. We have a small crew here. We mostly focus on our own tasks and don't talk too much unless it’s about work or where to order tea from. The desks are a bit cluttered with folders and pens that usually don't work. We don't have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and see us working. The windows are small, so we don't get a lot of natural light, which makes the tube lights very important. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, especially with the heavy trucks that pass through Bijwasan. We’ve been at this address for a while now and have become part of the local scene. We don’t have any big corporate goals written on the walls. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head out in the evening. It’s a practical setup for us. There is a small shop nearby that sells decent biscuits, which helps on the long days.
