Over in Dakshin Puri, our office at 16/246 is right in the thick of everything. The neighborhood is always alive with people walking by and kids playing in the lanes. Our space is functional, mostly filled with files, old maps, and a couple of desks that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about their plans and looking over different project details. It can get pretty cramped when everyone is in at the same time, especially during the middle of the week. There is a small window that looks out onto the street, and sometimes it's more interesting to watch the world go by than to look at a computer screen. We aren't a big corporate tower; we are just part of the local fabric here in this part of Delhi. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the day-to-day tasks to worry about that. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the piles of documents. Sometimes the neighbors drop by just to say hello or ask a quick question about what we are working on. It’s a busy life, and things don’t always go according to plan, but we manage to get through the list of things to do. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work right in front of us, trying to get things done right.
