Being based in New Delhi means we are right in the middle of everything. Our office is a place where we spend our days planning out trips and looking at maps of the whole country. It is a busy environment, but we try to keep things relaxed. We don't have a lot of corporate rules about how to talk or what to wear, as long as the work gets done properly. Most of us have been working in travel for years, so we know a lot of people in the industry. We spend a lot of time on the phone, sometimes dealing with hotels in remote areas where the connection isn't great. It can be a bit frustrating when things don't go according to plan, but we just sit down and figure out a way to fix it. The office itself is pretty simple, with a few computers, some old travel books, and a lot of empty tea cups by the end of the afternoon. We like to think of ourselves as a local group that just happens to work for a larger name. The streets outside are always loud with traffic and people shouting, which is just part of life in the capital. We don't use any fancy scripts when we talk to people; we just tell them what we know. It is a lot of hard work and attention to detail, but we enjoy the variety that each new day brings to our desks.
