Bazar Sita Ram is a busy place, and we are right in the middle of it at 3240, Lal Darwaza. You can hear the market noise all day long. Aastha Travel has been in this spot for years. It’s an old building, the kind you find in this part of Delhi. The stairs are a bit narrow and the rooms are small, but we have everything we need. We mostly help people with local trips or getting their papers in order for work travel. It’s a lot of manual work, looking through ledgers and checking schedules. We don't have fancy leather chairs. Just the same wooden ones we've had since we started. People come in from the street, sometimes just to escape the heat for a minute. We know the shopkeepers nearby and they know us. If a customer needs a tea, we just call the guy at the corner. It’s that kind of place. We don't spend money on big signs or posters. Everyone knows where the Lal Darwaza is. We stay open late because the market stays busy. Sometimes we deal with families going on pilgrimage, and other times it's just a businessman needing a quick flight to Mumbai. We just do the booking and hand over the printout. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the market finally shuts down for the night.
