Aamby Valley City

Aamby Valley City is quite a big operation out here in Lonavala. We are tied in with the Sahara India Pariwar group. Working in the Pune district means we deal with a lot of different weather, especially when the monsoons hit the hills. It’s a massive place to manage, honestly. We have people looking after the roads, the houses, and all the facilities that come with a city like this. It’s not like a regular office job because the scale is just different. Most of our staff lives nearby or commutes in from the local areas. We spend a lot of time just making sure the infrastructure is running okay and things aren't breaking down. It’s a lot of ground to cover every single day. People come up here to get away from the city noise of Mumbai or Pune, so we try to keep things orderly for them. Our day starts early, usually checking on the maintenance crews and seeing what needs fixing first. It’s a mix of hospitality and just general city management tasks. Sometimes it feels like there is never enough time in the day to get through the list, but we do what we can. Being tucked away in the mountains gives the work a different feel than being in a crowded city center. It’s a long way from the main highway, but we are used to the drive by now and the quiet of the valley.
