We’re located over in Kandawa, specifically in the Brahmdev Vihar Colony on Chitaipur Chunar Road. It’s a bit of a distance from the main Ghats of Varanasi, which we actually like because it’s a little calmer out here for us. Our office is a simple place where we manage our travel and tour work. We don’t have a big storefront with neon lights or posters. It’s more of a functional space where we sit down with maps and schedules to figure things out. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the roads and the shortcuts pretty well. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to drivers who stop by. The dust from the Chunar Road can be a bit much sometimes, especially in the dry season, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. We don’t use a lot of fancy words or corporate jargon to describe what we do. We just help people get from one place to another without a lot of trouble. Our neighbors are mostly families, so it feels like a very safe and friendly part of town. We’ve had plenty of days where the power goes out and we just sit outside on the porch for a bit until it comes back. It’s not a corporate lifestyle by any means. We’re just local people trying to run a decent business in a city we live in. It works for us.
