We are up here on the first floor of Su-154 in Pitam Pur. It’s a busy spot in Delhi but we’ve been here for a bit now, just handling travel bookings and all the paperwork that comes with it. Honestly, it’s mostly us sitting at our desks, answering phones and trying to get people's trips sorted out without too much trouble. We started A-La-Carte Tours because we know the area and we know how messy travel planning gets. Most days, it’s just a lot of typing and looking at screens. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a regular office where we get things done. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but you get used to it after a while. People stop by to ask about flights or trains, and we just tell them what’s available on the system. It is a small team here, so if someone is out for lunch, you might have to wait a minute or two. We try to keep things straightforward. If a trip works, it works. We handle the bookings and make sure the names are spelled right on the tickets. It is not glamorous work, but it keeps the lights on. Pitam Pur is a good place to be based because everyone knows where the main market is. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day, year after year. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the street outside, but inside here, things stay pretty much the same.
