Siroi Maritime Academy (Opc) Private Limited is located out in Sahaspur, which is part of Vikas Nagar in the Dehradun district. Specifically, we are on Gurudwara Road, just off NH-72. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but it is a good spot for what we do. Even though we are far from the ocean, we focus on maritime training and information. It might seem strange to have a maritime academy in the hills of Uttarakhand, but we make it work. The office is pretty straightforward. We have some training materials, maps, and desks where we handle the administration. It is an OPC, so it is run by just one person with a bit of help. We get people coming in from the nearby villages and even from Dehradun city because there are not many places like this around here. The road outside can get quite busy with trucks and buses since it is near the national highway. We do not have a big staff or a fancy cafeteria. We usually just bring our own lunch or go to a local dhaba nearby. We have been here in Kushalpur for a while now and the locals know us. We just try to provide good information to anyone interested in a career at sea. It is a niche business, but we enjoy the work and the quiet life out here in Sahaspur.
