You can find us right on Saharanpur Road in the Majra area of Dehradun. Being on such a busy road means there is always noise from the traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. This college was set up to help local people get some practical skills. We don't deal with a lot of theory that doesn't go anywhere. Most of the guys and girls who come here are looking to learn a trade so they can actually go out and get a job in a workshop or a factory. The building at number 73 has been here for a while. It’s got workshops and some classrooms. It’s not the most modern place in the world, but the tools work and that’s what matters. We spend a lot of time in the labs. The instructors are pretty straightforward people who have worked in the industry themselves. They don't use big words if they don't have to. We get students from all over Dehradun and even from further down the road. Sometimes the equipment breaks and we have to fix it ourselves, which is actually a good lesson for the students. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don't have fancy cafes or lounges. People come here to work and learn, then they head home. It’s just a solid, local spot for vocational training. The parking area out front is always crowded with bikes, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but we manage just fine.
