We operate out of Vikash Colony in the Radha Bhatta area, right at Sita Sharma’s place. She is the wife of Shri Sarvesh Kumar, and they have been part of this community for a long time. Awards Milk Producer Company Limited is a group of us who keep cows and buffaloes. Every morning starts very early, long before the sun is even up, because the animals need to be milked and fed. It is a messy job and it never stops, not even on holidays or when it is raining hard. We decided to come together as a company to make it easier to collect and sell our milk. Handling fresh milk is tricky because it doesn't stay good for long, so we have to be quick and organized. Our office is often just a table where we keep track of who brought in how much milk each day. There are no fancy suits here, just people in work clothes who know their way around a barn. We have our fair share of worries, like the health of the animals or the price of feed going up. But there is a certain rhythm to the work that we like. We aren't trying to win any prizes, despite the name; we just want to provide fresh milk and make a living. It is a hard life, but when the milk truck pulls away, we know we have done our job for another day.
