Pragati Nursery & Seed Stores

You can find us at No. 161 in Panditwari, which is right by the Prem Nagar post office. We run the Pragati Nursery & Seed Stores from here. Since it’s a nursery, there are plants all over the front and side of the property. It’s a bit crowded with pots and bags of soil, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our day outside or in the shed out back where we store the seeds. It’s a lot of watering and weeding and talking to people who walk by. The post office next door brings a lot of foot traffic, so we see a lot of familiar faces. We aren’t a giant garden center, just a local spot where you can get what you need for your yard. The building itself is quite old and has some vines growing up the walls that we just let be. Sometimes the bags of seeds get mixed up on the shelves, but we sort it out eventually. We don't have a computer system for the plants; we just remember what we planted and when. It’s a messy, green, and earthy kind of life. We like it that way. The rain is our best friend and our worst enemy depending on the day. We’ve been in Prem Nagar for ages and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We just keep planting and selling seeds to whoever stops in.
