Himalayan Seeds Service

If you know Saharanpur Chowk, then you’ve probably passed by 39-a where Himalayan Seeds Service is located. We’ve been set up near the chowk for quite some time now. It’s a very busy area, so there’s always noise and people moving about. We like being in the thick of it though. The shop isn't very large, and it’s often crowded with bags and supplies, but we know where everything is. It might look a bit messy to an outsider, but there is a system to it. Working with seeds means we have to pay attention to the seasons and what the local farmers are looking for. We talk to a lot of people who come in from the surrounding villages. They tell us about their crops and the weather, and we just listen and provide what we have. It’s a very grounded way to spend the day. We don’t have any fancy computers or high-tech displays. Most of our records are kept the old-fashioned way. We find that it works better for us. When the sun goes down, we close up the shutters and head home like everyone else. It’s been a good spot for us, and we’ve seen the chowk change a lot over the years. Despite all the changes, we’re still here, doing the same thing we’ve always done. It’s just a simple, local business trying to be helpful.
