The Anusandhani Krashak Farmer Producer Company Limited started right here in Village Gurgawn. We use Devbhar Singh’s place as a central point because everyone knows where it is. Being the son of Sri Chandra Palsingh, Devbhar has deep roots here, just like the rest of us. We are just a bunch of farmers who decided it was time to work together instead of struggling individually. Life in the village moves at its own pace, mostly dictated by the rain and the sun. We spend our days out in the dirt and our evenings discussing what needs to be done next. There is no corporate ladder here, just people who know how to handle a plow and a tractor. We handle our own supplies and try to get a fair shake when it comes time to sell what we’ve grown. It’s a lot of physical labor, and sometimes things don’t go as planned, but that’s just how it goes. The group is small, but we know our soil better than anyone. We aren't here to impress anyone with big words. We just want to make sure the harvests are decent and the costs don’t get out of hand. If you're looking for us, we're usually out in the fields or near Devbhar's house. It's a simple setup for a simple purpose: keeping our farms going year after year without too much fuss. Everyone knows farming is a gamble, but we feel better taking that gamble together.
