Ahshan Hair Saloon

Down here in Shankerpur, right on the Chakrata Road, is where we keep the shop. It’s called Ahshan Hair Saloon and it is located in the Bada Rampur area of Dehradun. The road stays pretty busy with cars and trucks heading into the city. We have a small place but it fits what we need. There are three chairs and some big mirrors on the wall. We mostly see the local guys from the neighborhood who come in for a quick haircut or a shave before work. In Dehradun, the weather changes a lot, so some days we have the doors wide open and other days we have to shut them tight against the rain. We have the usual jars of hair gel and the razors ready to go. The floor is concrete and we keep it swept up. There is a small radio that plays local stations all day long. It isn’t a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that, just a basic saloon for the people living around Chakrata Road. We’ve been at this for a long time. People know they can just walk in, sit for a bit, and get their hair sorted out. It’s a simple life running a shop in Bada Rampur. We just keep the tools sharp and wait for the next person to walk through the door.
