A1 Unisex Saloon is right here in Indra Nagar, Dehradun City. If you know where Anurag Nursery is, we are directly opposite that. It’s a good spot because of all the plants and trees across the street. Being in Dehradun, the weather changes a lot and sometimes we have to hurry to close the door when the rain starts blowing in. The shop handles both men and women, so we have different kinds of products sitting on the shelves. Some of the bottles are half-empty and the labels are peeling a bit. We have a couple of large mirrors that make the room look bigger than it actually is. The chairs are old but they are comfortable enough for a quick sit. I usually keep a radio playing in the background, mostly just local news or some songs. The floor is a light color so you can see every bit of hair that falls, which means I'm always reaching for the broom. It’s a 248001 area and we get a lot of regulars who live just a few streets away. They come in and talk about their families while we work. It’s not a high-end place with fancy lights, just a basic setup for anyone who needs their hair looked after. We keep the scissors sharpened and the towels washed. That’s pretty much the whole story of what we do here every day.
