It is a solid building, which is good because the weather can get pretty rough during the monsoon months. We handle the management of hotels and resorts from here. It is a lot of back-and-forth communication. We aren't a big fancy office with glass walls; it is more of a working space where things actually get done. We have stacks of files and the kettle is almost always on because it gets cold. Working in the mountains means you have to be ready for things like power cuts or road blocks, so we have to stay flexible. We know the local area well and we've seen how much it has changed over the years. We just keep doing our work, making sure the rooms are ready and the staff at the different sites know what they are doing. It’s a busy life but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The town has a certain energy that keeps us going every day.
