Kadaba Arecanut And Spices Private Limited

Our place is on the ground floor of Shri Rama Towers in Kadaba. It’s part of the Kodimbala Village area in Puttur. We deal with arecanut and various spices, which are the main things grown around here in Dakshina Kannada. The smell of spices is pretty much always in the air around our office. It’s a busy spot, especially during the harvest season. We spend most of our time grading arecanut and sorting through different types of black pepper and other spices. It’s manual work and takes a lot of patience. Sometimes the market prices go up and down so fast it makes your head spin. We try to keep things steady for the growers we work with. The office gets a bit dusty with all the bags moving in and out, but that's just part of the trade. We aren't a big corporation with shiny floors. We have sturdy tables and scales that have seen a lot of use. People from the village come by to talk about their crops or check the latest rates. It’s a very local business. We know almost everyone who walks through the door. Some days are slow, but when the harvest comes in, it's non-stop from morning till night. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the quality stays where it should be. It’s what we know how to do. We don't need any fancy tools for that.
