Maa Traders

Maa Traders is tucked away near College Square on Ice Factory Road. It’s right in the middle of the main market and very close to the bus stand, so it’s never quiet. There is always a lot of movement—students, shoppers, and travelers. We have a small storefront that opens up right onto the street. It’s a bit of an old building, but it serves our purpose well enough. We deal with various goods and the stock changes depending on what’s available. I spend a lot of my time standing at the counter or moving crates in the back. The ice factory nearby keeps things interesting with all the noise they make during the day. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and wait for the customers to come by. It’s a simple life for us. My wife sometimes brings me lunch from home because I can't leave the shop alone. We know the regulars by name and they know us. The market can be a bit overwhelming for some, but we are used to the chaos. It feels like home to us. We’ve been part of this community for a long time now. Just trying to keep the business going one day at a time without getting too caught up in the noise and the crowd around us in the market.
