Toshali Cement

We are based at 1981 at the NCCBM area in Hyderabad. This part of the city stays pretty busy with all the construction going on lately. We handle cement, specifically the Toshali brand, which means the work is quite heavy. Every single day involves moving bags around and making sure the trucks are loaded the right way. Dust is just part of the atmosphere here, so you get used to it after a while. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning in every single room. Our space is small and mostly just for keeping the books and taking orders from people. Most of the staff have been here for a long time now. We know the local contractors who drop by in their trucks. The Hyderabad heat can be really tough, especially in the middle of the afternoon, so we try to start very early in the morning. Sometimes the deliveries get stuck because the traffic near NCCBM is a total mess, which is a bit of a headache. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or any of that stuff. We just sell the cement and try to keep the business moving along. If a bag breaks, we sweep it up and carry on. That is just how the days go for us. It is a simple enough business. We spend a lot of time on the phone with site managers. By the time evening comes, we are all exhausted. But we show up again the next day at the same time.
