Sri Krishna Hollow Block & Interlock Pavers

Our yard is at No:2, Gopal Nagar, right on the Thiruvananthapuram Main Road in Koothapakkam. You can usually see the stacks of pavers from the street as you drive past. We focus on making hollow blocks and those interlocking pavers you see in driveways and walkways. It’s a lot of mixing sand and cement and then waiting for things to cure properly in the sun. The weather in Koothapakkam can be quite hot, which helps with the drying but makes the physical labor pretty tough. We are a small team and most of us live close by. We don't have a big corporate structure. Usually, it's just one of us answering the phone while trying to load a truck at the same time. We get all sorts of people coming in, from homeowners wanting to fix their front path to builders needing thousands of blocks for a new site. We try to keep a good stock ready, but sometimes we run low when a big order comes in unexpectedly. Our hands are usually rough and our boots are always gray with dust. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. Most of our business comes from people seeing our blocks at a neighbor's house and asking where they got them. It’s a straightforward business, and we just try to make things that won't crumble after a few years. We just keep our heads down and do the work the best we can every day.
