Abi Bricks

If you’re looking for Abi Bricks, we are at Plot No. 10 in Rajalakshmi Nagar, over in Chidambaram. It’s a decent-sized plot where we manage everything. Chidambaram is a busy town, and we’re just one of the small businesses trying to keep up with the growth. We make bricks mainly for the local builders around Rajalakshmi Nagar and the nearby areas. It’s a lot of heavy lifting for the crew. Each brick has to be handled a few times before it’s finally ready to be sold and loaded. We have a small group of guys who have been with us for years. We don't really have a boss in a suit; we all just get our hands dirty together. Sometimes the kiln doesn't heat up right, or we get a bad batch of clay from the supplier, and we just have to deal with it and move on. We don't make any big promises, we just show people what we have in the yard. If they like it, they buy it. We use an old truck for the deliveries, and sometimes it breaks down on the way, which slows things up. But people around here are patient for the most part. We like being in this part of Taluka Chidambaram. It’s a good community with familiar faces. We just stay busy with our work and try to keep the stacks of bricks moving out of the gate every week.
