Asm Brricks

Our business, Asm Brricks, is located at No. 7 Mulligrampattu in the Nellikuppam area. It is a bit further out than some places, which is good for making bricks. We have a lot of red earth and clay around here. Making bricks is a messy, dirty process. Our hands are almost always stained with the color of the soil. We spend our days out in the open, watching the kilns and making sure the bricks are drying properly. It depends a lot on the weather. If it rains, everything slows down and we have to cover the stacks. If it is hot, the work is exhausting but the bricks dry fast. We don't have a big marketing department or a website. We just have the yard and the bricks we make. People in Nellikuppam know where we are. We have been doing this for a long time. The address is simple, just No. 7, but the yard is quite large to hold all the inventory. Sometimes we have thousands of bricks just sitting there waiting to be moved. We get a lot of local builders coming by with their own tractors to pick up loads. It is a quiet life compared to the city, but it is physically demanding. We don't use any fancy machinery for everything; a lot of it is still done the old way because that is how we learned it.
