Khavya Bricks & Blocks

Khavya Bricks & Blocks is over at Plot No 57 in Sudhakar Nager, which is part of the Padherikuppam area. We’ve got a decent-sized plot here where we make both bricks and the bigger blocks. It’s a busy place. There is always the sound of mixing or the clinking of blocks being stacked up by the guys. We aren't some big factory with thousands of workers, just a local team that knows how to handle the material. The dust is a constant thing here, you just get used to it after the first week of working. We start our day when the light is still grey and don't stop until it’s getting dark. There’s a lot of sweat that goes into every stack you see in the yard. We deal with the local builders and people just doing small repairs on their own homes. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Usually, if you want to talk to someone, you just find whoever is closest to the mixer or the stacks in the back. Sudhakar Nager is a good spot for us, and we’ve made a lot of friends in Padherikuppam over the years. We just try to keep things simple and honest. If a batch doesn't come out right, we notice it and try to figure out what went wrong with the mix instead of just selling it anyway. It’s a lot of trial and error even though we’ve been doing this for a long time.
