We’re located at 54 Pudupalayam Main Road in Cuddalore. A good landmark for us is that we are near the Ram Mohan Doctor Clinic, so if you find the clinic, you’ve basically found us. The road is usually quite busy with people going to see the doctor or just passing through. Our building is a simple one-story place with a front door that stays open most of the day to let some air in. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a counter where we talk to anyone who comes by. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s a bit dim in the back, but we know where everything is kept. The heat in Cuddalore can be quite something, so we have a ceiling fan that works overtime in the summer. We spend our time checking through our inventory and writing things down in our ledgers. It is a very manual process, nothing too high-tech about it. We’ve been here for a good while and we know the other shop owners on the street. We usually close up for a bit in the afternoon when it is hottest and then stay open until late in the evening. It’s just the way things are done around here. We don’t have a big website or anything, we just focus on the work right in front of us. It is a quiet life but we stay busy.
