Purushoth Enterprises

Purushoth Enterprises is tucked away at 18 A Padai Veetamman Koil Street in Panruti. The street is quite narrow, so you have to be careful if you’re driving a big vehicle. We’ve been at this address for many years now. The building is an old one, and it has that specific smell of old paper and wood. We stock a variety of things, mostly items that people in Panruti need for their homes or small projects. There’s no big neon sign, just a hand-painted board above the entrance. Inside, the light is a bit dim because we only have a couple of windows near the ceiling. We spend a lot of our time reorganizing the boxes because we keep getting new stuff in. It’s mostly family running the place. My brother handles the stock while I talk to the customers. We have an old desk with a glass top where we write out the receipts by hand. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the steps and chat with the neighbors until it comes back on. It’s a slow pace of life here on this street. We know most of our customers by their first names. We don't do much in the way of marketing. People just know we are here if they need something. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many small items, it's always a bit of a struggle.
