Vasavi Vidyalaya Primary & Nursery School

Vysial Street in Coimbatore is one of those places that never really goes quiet. Our school, Vasavi Vidyalaya Primary & Nursery School, sits right at number 535 near the Town Hall. It is a small building, mainly for the little ones in nursery and primary classes. We’ve been running this for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it is sturdy. Every morning, the street gets crowded with parents dropping off their kids before they head to work. You can hear the children reciting their lessons or singing songs all the way from the sidewalk. We don't have a big field for sports, just a small courtyard where they can stretch their legs during the break. The teachers are local ladies who have been with us for years. They know the families well. We use standard textbooks and a lot of chalk. There’s nothing high-tech about it, just basic learning in a safe environment. The desks are the old wooden kind, scratched up by years of students, but they do the job. We focus on making sure the kids can read and write properly before they move on to the bigger high schools in the city. It’s a humble place, and we like it that way. We don't do any big marketing. Most of our students come because their older siblings or parents came here too. It is just a neighborhood school doing its part in Town Hall.
