Aalaya Academy Montessori School

Down in Tirupur East, specifically at S.F.No.84/6A2 in ACS Nagar, we have our small school. Tirupur is a busy place with all the textile mills and factories, but our little corner is relatively calm. Aalaya Academy Montessori School is more of a home-style setup than a big institution. We use the space we have to the best of our ability. The floors are usually covered with mats and blocks because of the way we do things here. We spend our mornings setting up the different stations and making sure the light is coming in through the windows. It’s important because we don't like to use too many overhead lights if we can help it. The weather in Tirupur can be quite sticky, so we keep the fans on high most of the time. There is a small area outside where we have a few plants that need watering every evening. We don't have a big budget for advertising or anything like that. People usually hear about us from their neighbors or friends at the market. It’s a very local feel. We mostly just talk about what needs to happen today and what we might need for tomorrow. It’s not a complicated life. We are just a group of people working together in ACS Nagar, making sure the building stays clean and the daily routines are kept for the families who trust us.
