If you look for us in Singanallur, you will find us at No 595 / B on the first floor. We are situated right opposite the Uzhavar Sandai, which makes it easy for everyone to find our spot. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below where all the market activity happens. It is usually quite noisy outside with all the people and the vehicles moving around Trichy Main Road. Our day at Thendral Driving School starts pretty early. We have to coordinate all the driving schedules and make sure the cars are ready to go. The office upstairs is where we handle the paperwork and talk to new learners who want to get their licenses. It is a straightforward business; we don't use any fancy talk or marketing tricks. We just teach people how to drive safely. Coimbatore is a growing city, so there are always more people wanting to learn. We spend a lot of time talking about clutch control and how to use the mirrors properly. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, but it's a cozy enough place once you get inside. We have some chairs for people to wait and some charts on the wall about road signs. It is just a regular local business helping neighbors get on the road. We stay busy with the classes and the daily routine of the shop. That is basically how we spend our time.
