The Food Mart

The Food Mart is located at 1071 Trichy Road, right in the Ramanathapuram area of Coimbatore. We have been at this spot for some time now. Being on Trichy Road means we get a lot of people passing by on their way in and out of the city. We are a straightforward shop. We stock the shelves and wait for the neighbors to come in for what they need. It’s not a giant supermarket with shiny floors. We just have the basics and a few other things people ask for. The 641045 area is a busy part of town, so we stay open long hours. The staff here are from the nearby streets. We spend our days checking stock and talking to the regulars. It’s a lot of standing around and lifting boxes, but it’s how we make a living. We don't do any big promotions or sales events. People just know we are here when they run out of something at home. The building is an older one, but it stays cool enough. We try to keep things where people can find them easily. Working in Ramanathapuram has its ups and downs with the traffic, but we like the community. We are just a local mart trying to keep the shelves full and the door open for the Coimbatore locals. It is a lot of work but we like it.
