Paramount Trading Corporation

We are located at No.31 on Somasundaram Mill Road. It is an old part of town with a lot of history. You can see the old mill structures nearby. Our place is basically a warehouse and a small office area. We trade in various goods, so the inventory changes quite a bit depending on what is coming in. It is not the kind of place you would visit for a tour. It is functional. We have a lot of boxes stacked up. Most of our day is spent checking manifests, talking to drivers, and making sure the counts are right. It can be repetitive, but it is what we do. The road outside can get pretty congested during the day, which makes loading and unloading a bit of a challenge sometimes. We do not have a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door helps whoever walks in. We use old-fashioned ledgers for some things and computers for others. It is a mix of the old way and the new way. We have been on Mill Road for quite a while, so we know the local tea stall guy and the other traders on the block. It is a busy environment. We do not have a lot of time for sitting around. There is always another shipment to worry about or a customer waiting on a price. We just keep the wheels turning as best as we can. It is hard work, but it is honest and keeps us busy.
