Thangam Store

Our shop is located in Ganapathy Maanagar, specifically at 7/49 Kirstu Nagar. It's a quiet enough area most of the time, though Coimbatore is growing fast and things are changing around us. We have been running Thangam Store here for quite some time. The shelves are packed with the usual groceries and household items people need for their kitchens. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the road work nearby, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. We aren't doing anything fancy here. It's just a place to pick up your daily needs without having to drive into the main city center. If you are coming from the main Ganapathy area, you just turn toward the housing blocks and look for 641006. My brother and I take turns behind the counter. On rainy days, the floor gets a bit muddy from people coming in, so we keep a mop handy by the door. We stock things like rice, dal, and different kinds of cooking oils. We try to keep things organized but sometimes when the new stock arrives, there are boxes everywhere for a few hours. It's just a part of the daily job. People usually come in for a quick chat while they get their things. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop. It’s a simple routine we have. Open in the morning, close at night, and see the same neighbors every day. It feels right to be part of the community here.
