Thamarai Matriculation Higher Secondary School

We've been here at 36 Main Road for quite a while now. Thamarai Matriculation Higher Secondary School is just a part of the neighborhood in Thamaraipalayam. The gates open early in the morning, and usually, there’s a bit of a crowd out front with cycles and parents dropping kids off. It’s loud, but that’s just how school mornings go. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of teachers talking and chalk on boards. We have the usual classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to run around during lunch break. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to keep things moving. Most of us who work here live close by, so we know the families. Sometimes things are a bit disorganized, like when we have an event or a heavy rain, but we manage to get through the day. The building is older, but it’s sturdy enough. We don’t have fancy extras, just the basics for the students to get their lessons done. Classes go from the little ones all the way up to higher secondary. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the syllabus and the exams, especially for the older kids who are worried about their futures. We just try to make sure they show up and do their work. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s our school. People know where to find us right there on the main road. We see the same faces every day.
