Tara Farm Supermarket

Tara Farm Supermarket is tucked away on Gv Residency Road in Sowripalayam. It is a handy spot for the people living in the apartments nearby. We spend a lot of our time just unpacking crates and trying to find a place for everything on the shelves. The aisles are a bit narrow, so when it gets crowded in the evenings, people have to squeeze past each other. We have a couple of refrigerators that hum loudly all day, and sometimes we have to give them a good kick to keep them quiet. We stock a bit of everything, from the usual groceries to some household bits and pieces. It’s not the biggest supermarket you’ve ever seen, but we try to keep the basics in stock so people don't have to drive too far. There is always a layer of dust that settles on the top shelves, no matter how much we wipe them down. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet. Most of our customers are neighbors, so we end up chatting about the weather or the local traffic while we are ringing up their items. It’s a decent way to spend the day. We are just local people running a local shop. It gets tiring standing on your feet all day, but seeing familiar faces makes the time go by a bit faster.
