Star Nila Departmental Store

Star Nila Departmental Store is situated at 4/168 in Ettimadai. We are very close to Amirtha School, so the area is always filled with the sounds of children and school buses. Ettimadai is a bit away from the main city hustle, which we quite like. The shop is a bit larger than a tiny corner stall. We have aisles where you can walk around and look at the items. We try to keep different kinds of things because people here don't have many other options close by. The shelves are filled with plastic buckets, soaps, pulses, and snacks for the kids. The ceiling fans hum all day long. We don't have a polished floor or automatic doors. It is just a plain room with goods stacked up. During the school holidays, it gets a bit quieter. We spend that time checking the dates on packets and reorganizing the back room. The light comes in through the front door and makes the place feel bright enough. We don't use many words with our customers, just a nod and a hello. It is a practical business. We’ve got the local regulars who come in every few days to stock up on their kitchen needs. The air in Ettimadai feels a bit fresher than the city. We just stay here, keeping the shop running and making sure the shelves aren't empty when the school lets out and the kids come.
