Sriranga Super Market

Sriranga Super Market is located on K.K.Pudur Road in Coimbatore. We are right by the Mount Garden Apartment complex. Even though the name says super market, we aren't one of those massive places where you get lost in the aisles. We are big enough to have self-service, so you can walk around and pick what you want. We have carts and baskets, but the atmosphere is still very local. The apartment residents are our main customers. They come down in their house clothes to pick up milk or vegetables. We try to keep the vegetables fresh, though by late evening, the selection usually gets a bit thin. We have a few staff members who help with the billing and stocking. It’s a bit of a challenge keeping everything in the right place because kids often move things around. The floor needs constant mopping because people bring in dust from the road. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just put a chalkboard outside with the price of onions or tomatoes for the day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the generator, which is loud, but it keeps the fridges running. We just want to be a convenient place for the neighbors to shop. It’s a decent business and we work hard to keep it going every single day.
